About the Hackathon
Unleash your creativity and coding skills in an exciting two-day hackathon open for rising 6th-12th grade students! Compete alone or in teams of up to three to build a game or app based on a surprise theme—overnight coding and designing included!
Win awesome prizes valued $150+ and level up your skills with our hands-on workshops in Java, Python, and Figma UI design. Food will be available for competitiors. Whether you're a beginner or a coding pro, there’s something for everyone!

Our Mission
We are Metal Magic, a FIRST® Tech Challenge Robotics team run by high school students. Last year, we won a regional qualifier and qualified to District Competition, in which we were ranked the top 10 in DC, Virginia, Maryland, and West Virginia. Our goal is to empower STEM learning and create an interest in FIRST® and robotics.
We're hosting this hackathon to ignite a passion for STEM and coding in students of all backgrounds. We believe in providing an exciting platform for participants to explore real-world problem-solving, develop innovative solutions, and connect with their peers. We are hosting bootcamps as well to teach students fundamental concepts in the workforce. We are doing this because we want to empower the next generation of innovators, one line of code at a time.
